I’ve been working on some behind-the-scenes things for my photography business… and it’s no secret, I’ve been in a bit of a rebuilding season in life too. One big step? A brand new website!! something that’s been on the back burner for way too long is finally in the works and almost ready to launch 💕🤞🏼 This has always felt like one of those “too overwhelming to start” projects, and I’m so proud to finally be making it happen. I seriously can’t wait to show you. But for now, I need a little help from my friends 😜🎶 If you were checking out a photographer’s website, what would you actually want to know about them? Like really. What would make you laugh, connect, or feel like “Yep, she’s my girl”? Because those are the EXACT questions I want to answer!! Whether it’s a serious question, a totally fun one, or ridiculous id love it if youd drop it below in the comments. And if you know me even a little bit, feel free to suggest something I should include about myself (im nervous that I just opened the comments for my friends to roast me 😂) and, I thought this was a good excuse to show you sweetest photo from today with my babies that made me tear up 🥹 (Shout out to my sweet friend @itsme_jessiefultz for getting in the creek for us 😭💕. How fun is it that we are friends that can hand the camera off to the other to capture each other with our kids?!)

Who knew natural sunlight, a yummy chai, and being surrounded by people would make me so much more productive? Ps- if you are local… check out this adorable coffee shop @shortsleevescoffee and grab some flowers from @walkertownfarm . They have a subscription bouquet that you can pick up while you grab your coffee, and I really love that 💕💕

“I eat when my bride and groom eat” … It’s actually in my contract 😂 But, getting a bathroom break is a whole different story. It’s funny because it’s true 💀

Don’t mind me over here, full-on crying to this song. My little Jade wrapped up fourth grade today. No big milestone. But somehow, this one felt different. She didn’t change much physically, but she did grow up a lot this year 🥹. (swipe to see the first day of 4th grade, and then again for the first day of kindergarten 😭) This year, her school was destroyed by the hurricane. And still… they made it through. Back in the building, back to learning, back to a little piece of normal. These kids had to go through some really hard transitions, and I know a huge reason that Jade was ok throughout the hurricane chaos was because of her teacher. Jade cried pulling away from school today because she loves her teacher so much, and didn’t want it to be summertime. What a gift, to love her teacher that much and for her teacher to love her so deeply. Something shifted this year. I knew it would come eventually, but nothing really prepares you. Somewhere along the way, the little girl who loved dolls and had a big smile full of missing teeth started turning into a tween. She’s still clinging to some of those toys, but now she’s into skincare, cute outfits, jewelry, and hair stuff. She’s changing rapidly right in front of me. I snapped this photo of her last night at my photoshoot. She threw on my skirt and jean jacket, and twirled around like she was so grown because she can kind of wear my clothes 😂. And, all I could do was stare at this beautiful in-between girl who suddenly doesn’t look so little anymore. Right now, she thinks I’m cool. She comes to me with her secrets and for advice. And, I’m holding on with everything I’ve got because I know it won’t last long. Jadey baby, I love you beyond words. You have the kindest heart, and the most compassionate little soul. You are smart, stunning and truly a joy to know. Im the luckiest to get to be your mom 💕 Also,this is a friendly reminder to document your lives & your children’s lives. They change so quickly, and you can’t get this time back. I’ve never had someone regret having photos taken, and I’ve never regretted taking photos of my own kids. Don’t blink 🥹 Okay—wiping my tears and diving back into editing
