How in the world is it December?! I swear it was literally July yesterday, and somehow we’re already more than halfway through the month and I don’t even have my Christmas tree up yet. The past few months in my photography world have been a complete whirlwind… the very best kind.
A Season Full of Christmas Family Sessions
This season has been filled with so many family sessions. Photos for Christmas cards, gifts, and memories that will be cherished for years to come. From cozy sweaters and tiny hands to lots of laughter and just a little bit of chaos (the fun kind), my heart has been so full. I truly wish I could share every single session, but for now, here are just a few favorites from this Christmas season.
Behind the Scenes
As an Asheville photography business, getting to document families during the holiday season is one of my favorite parts of the year. And what kind of mom would I be if I didn’t start this post with Christmas photos of my own kids? In true Melissa-mom-photographer fashion, I took their photos during my Christmas minis… about two days before, which meant a whole lot of scrambling. I also threw one of myself in while testing the light and the set.. because why not? 😉
Why Christmas Photos Matter So Much for Families
This time of year always reminds me how special these moments really are. The photos we take now become the ones we look back on years from now, the ones that bring back memories, laughter, and all the feelings.
